Book Review: Mockingjay

The Book: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Reviewer: Mrs. Wilson

Is it a good book? Yes! Collins is a fantastic writer. Did you know she writes for television shows? It makes sense to me because I feel like I can really see what she's describing.

Would you recommend this book? Yes! But only after that person read books 1 and 2 in the series. Because really, what's not to love? There's survival, romance, and rebellion.

What do you like about the book? Frankly, I like every part that has Peeta in it. Katniss has to choose between two guys: Peeta and Gale. While Gale is okay and all, Peeta is...bliss. Sigh.

What do you dislike about the book? I didn't like all of the military strategy. I understand that it is a necessary part of the book since there's a war raging, but honestly, I couldn't care less. I wanted Collins to get back to the love story and what Katniss was going through personally.

Tell us your thoughts about the book. I'm sad the series is over. It's unlike anything else I've read and I'll miss the anticipation of waiting for the next book. I've heard from several people who did not like the ending of the book, but I did. I thought it was realistic, and to me, comforting.
